About Us

Our Mission

WhiteRocksBest.com is a "Shop Local" online magazine that connects the community with the best health and lifestyle information. We encourage the residents of White Rock and South Surrey to shop locally and give the businesses the opportunity to show-case and advertise their uniqueness in written articles and with special promotions and coupons.

Every Friday, we will be mailing out our newsletter that is packed with information on current events and fun things to do with the family. As well, we'll keep you up to date on local specials and promotions from our hard working merchants. As the merchant-submitted articles pour in, we will be adding more and more valuable information written by our own local experts. And so, armed with all this info, have a great weekend!

If you know of a great up-coming event or a great place to shop or eat, let us know and we'll be happy to share it with everyone.

Join us in our local search for the best of living in White Rock/South Surrey.

Message from the previous Mayor (2011) of White Rock,
now executive director of the White Rock Hospice Society:

I applaud and congratulate Steve McVittie of "The Celtic Treasure Chest, British Imports" for his vision of what can be done to promote the businesses along East Beach.
He along with Sherron Fairbairn and Linda Lock of "White Rocks Best"
& Francis Fennessey of the White Rock BIA and Promenade Hotel brought the first annual O.E.C.C. car rally to East Beach, White Rock.

They also presented a "passport to adventure" program that supported and promoted the merchants of East Beach.

As a city we will work together with the White Rock BIA and the businesses on East Beach to rediscover the waterfront as a year round destination for residents and visitors.

Mayor Catherine Ferguson
White Rock, BC

About Trish

TrishHi, I am a single Mom of 2 wonderful teenagers, am originally from Zimbabwe and have lived in White Rock for almost 30 years. Most of you will know me as Trish from the "Artists Place" where for 2 years at 16th and 152nd I owned an art gallery featuring local artists and provided studios where the artists could interact directly with the public. Now in this exciting new adventure we are all interacting once again only on a much larger scale. As an artist, I paint, blowtorch acrylic, do batik and glass fusion and am now making energy sculptures which are all back-lit, turning them into very functional and unique lamps.
